| It's time once again to burn those brats,
blacken those hotdogs, and grill those burgers to a cinder!
The DAS 2008 Annual Picnic will take place on
the North side of DU's Historic (and under renovation) Chamberlin Observatory. All
DAS members and their guests are invited to share in the
food, good company, and fun.
After the picnic, we'll be setting up telescopes
on the Observatory Park lawn for the July Open House and
our first evening views of Jupiter!
Bryan Wilburn is the year's picnic
coordinator. Bryan and his crew will ensure that
picnic-goers have a plentiful supply of meat (hamburgers,
hotdogs, and brats), buns, fixin's, utensils, ice, and soft
drinks.
 DAS
members are requested to contribute potluck
items, such as:
- Appetizers
- Chips and Dips
- Salads (green, potato, macaroni, and
fruit)
- Meat Dishes
- Casseroles
- Fruit
- Veggies & vegetarian items
(veggie burgers, etc.)
- Desserts
(pies, cookies, brownies, cobbler, cake, etc.)
Be sure to bring your own chairs.
Bryan could still use some additional help
